The UNITE Foundation

The UNITE Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the “Run for Africa’s Youth,” an event that will raise over $5,000 for Camp UNITE 2012. We hope to recruit a team of runners to run on behalf of The UNITE Foundation in the upcoming George Washington Parkway Classic 10-miler and 5k, one of the D.C. area’s most popular road races.

Our goal is to raise $5,000, enough to send 25 campers to Camp UNITE in 2012. This will be counted as part of The UNITE Foundation’s anniversary campaign, celebrating 10 years of Camp UNITE.

In preparation for race day, our Webmaster and avid runner Anayo Osueke, will be holding a training program open to all participants in the DC area interested in joining the team and running the 10-mile or 5k courses, or walking the 5k course. Outings will begin in January.

How to Participate:

Register using the form to the right and train for the 10-mile or 5k run
Pledge to raise at least $265 to cover the cost of registration and to send a child to Camp UNITE 2012
